Removing stock from sale temporarily over quality concerns or similar

If you have beer stock available for sale, you can put this stock on hold (or in "quarantine") pending a decision on if it can be re-released for sale, or needs to be disposed of.

To do this, find the original batch, click into the Actions tab, and then use the Retract stock from sale into delayed release button, as highlighted below:

This will prevent further deliveries of the stock in question and allow you to perform your checks, and ultimately re-release the stock or dispose of it. If it needs to be disposed of, Breww will record this as "spoiled beer records" within your beer duty records for compliance with HMRC's guidelines.

The stock will be moved into a "Delayed racking release" process, as described in more detail in this guide: How to package drinks for bottle/cask conditioning without releasing it for sale immediately
