Beer swaps

If you're swapping beers with another brewery and no money is changing hands — i.e. the beers are being exchanged like for like — this can be handled in Breww as follows:

  1. Raise a zero-value invoice for the beers you're sending to the other brewery. This will correctly reduce your stock levels and the appropriate duty will be incurred when dispatched.
  2. Add the beers you're receiving as a guest beer stock item, and create a guest beer product so you can sell it. This will allow you to sell the beer at the price defined on the guest beer product.
  3. As this is a guest beer product, it will not incur duty.

For more guidance on guest beers, see the Guest Beers section of the Alias, Derived & Guest Beers help article.

This allows you to dispatch stock to the other brewery and receive the stock they've provided in return, which you can then sell on to your own customers.

These guides are written for the breweries who run Breww, so parts of them will describe screens you do not have. Send us the details and we will point you the right way.

Please use the routes above rather than replying to a sales email, support does not reach us that way.
