Customising your main menu

Each user in Breww can personalise their main menu by adding custom shortcut links to pages they use frequently. This is a per-user setting, so each team member can set up their own menu without affecting anyone else.

Accessing the menu customisation page

There are several ways to access the menu customisation page:

  • In the main menu sidebar, scroll down to the Breww section and click Customise this menu
  • Go to Settings and click Personal user account settings, then select Customise main menu
  • Go to your profile page and click Customise main menu

You can add custom links to two sections of your menu:

  • Top of menu links - These appear just below Dashboard and Tasks, giving you quick access to your most important pages
  • Bottom of menu links - These appear just above the Breww help section at the bottom of the menu

To add a new link:

  1. Go to the menu customisation page
  2. Find the section where you want to add your link (top or bottom)
  3. Enter a Link title - this is what will be displayed in the menu
  4. Enter the URL - this must be a page within Breww (starting with /). You can copy the URL from your browser's address bar when you're on the page you want to link to
  5. Click the Icon field to open the icon picker and select an icon for your link
  6. Click the green + button to add the link

Note: Custom links can only point to pages within Breww. External URLs are not supported. If you paste a full Breww URL (e.g. https://breww.com/sales/customers/), it will automatically be converted to a relative URL (/sales/customers/).

To remove a custom link:

  1. Go to the menu customisation page
  2. Find the link you want to remove in the table
  3. Click the red trash icon button
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

You can change the order in which your custom links appear by dragging and dropping the rows in the table:

  1. Go to the menu customisation page
  2. Click and hold on a row in the links table
  3. Drag it to the desired position
  4. Release to drop it in place

The new order is saved automatically.

Example use cases

Here are some ideas for how you might use custom menu links:

  • Frequently used reports - Add a direct link to a report you check daily
  • Saved list views - Link to a filtered customer or product list you use often
  • Specific customer or product pages - Quick access to your most important accounts
  • Production pages - Jump straight to your brewing schedule or vessel overview
