If you have followed the Planned batches and Vessel plans help guide and have selected a 'Planned start date', then you will be able to see this planned batch on your batch schedule. You will also be able to plan and create batches directly from the batch schedule. The batch schedule usually includes three tabs: your Brewery, Contract brewers and Planned packagings.
If you have more than one site with a brewing system and at least one vessel, these will also have a tab on the batch schedule:

Scheduled batches on site
By selecting your brewery site, you will see the batches you produce yourself. Here, you can edit the schedule for your planned batches, including the use of your brewing system, vessel residency, and equipment usage. This will block out vessels for use so you can accurately manage your production scheduling.
Create a batch directly from the batch schedule
You can create a batch directly from the batch schedule by clicking the date you wish to start the batch in line with the brewing system you are using and then selecting Create new batch.

This will take you to the main 'New batch' screen, where you can follow the same process as outlined in the Planned batches help guide.
Managing the batch schedule
Once you have created your planned batches, the planned brewing system, vessel, and equipment will display as in use on the schedule. If you hover over the scheduled use, you will see the details surrounding the batch.

Any planned vessel use will be displayed with '(planned vessel use)', and you will be able to rearrange your schedule simply by dragging or extending the blocks on the batch schedule.

Once the batch has been started and transferred into a vessel, you will no longer be able to amend the vessel's usage on the batch schedule (for that batch), and the use details will change from 'planned vessel use' to 'used planned vessel'. However, any future vessel usage for that batch, such as a brite tank to be used after fermentation, can still be adjusted from the batch schedule.

If you would like to adjust the planned time in vessel for a batch which now has the status of 'used planned vessel' on the batch schedule, then head to the batch and select Actions -> Edit batch details. From here, you will see your 'actual' vessel usage alongside your 'Planned vessel usage' for the batch, and you will be able to amend what has been planned. If you have no planned vessel usage on a batch that you have started, you will still be able to add vessel planning by clicking in the space where you would like to plan vessel usage, and dragging this along the calendar. Once saved, these amendments will be reflected in the batch schedule.
Schedule notes
Schedule notes allow you to add custom events to your batch schedule calendar, such as brewery closures, maintenance windows, team meetings, or any other important dates your production team needs to be aware of. These notes appear as coloured background highlights on the calendar, making them easy to distinguish from regular batch and packaging events.
Adding a schedule note
To add a schedule note, click the Add note button at the top of the batch schedule page. A form will open where you can fill in the following details:
-
Title -- A short name for the note (e.g. "Brewery closed", "Equipment maintenance").
-
Start date -- The date (and time, if not an all-day note) when the note begins.
-
All day -- Tick this if the note covers an entire day. When ticked, you only need to provide a start date. When unticked, an End date field will appear so you can specify the exact time range.
-
End date -- Required when All day is not ticked. This must be after the start date.
-
Description -- An optional longer description providing more context about the note.
-
Sites -- Select which sites this note should appear on. If you leave this blank, the note will appear on all site calendars.
-
Icon -- Optionally choose an icon that will be displayed alongside the note title on the calendar.
-
Colour -- Pick a colour for the note's background highlight on the calendar. A colour will be suggested automatically, but you can change it to whatever you prefer.
Once you have filled in the details, click Save to add the note to your batch schedule.
Viewing a schedule note
Schedule notes appear as coloured background bands on the calendar, with the note's title (and icon, if set) displayed inside them. You can hover over a schedule note to see a popover with the title and description.
To view the full details of a schedule note, click on it in the calendar. This will open a panel showing all of the note's information, including the title, date, description, assigned sites, colour, and who created the note.
Editing a schedule note
To edit a schedule note, first click on the note in the calendar to open the details panel, then click the Edit button. The same form used to create the note will open, allowing you to update any of the fields. Click Save to apply your changes, and the calendar will update automatically.
Deleting a schedule note
To delete a schedule note, click on the note in the calendar to open the details panel, then click the Delete button. You will be asked to confirm the deletion. Once confirmed, the note will be removed and the calendar will refresh.
Scheduled 3rd party contract brewed batches
On the Batch schedule, there is a tab for Contract brewers; this will show the 'Contract brewed by 3rd party' and 'Collaboration at 3rd party' batches you have scheduled. Once a batch has been planned with a 'Planned start date', this will show on this schedule, where you can adjust the planned date simply by dragging the batch on the schedule.
Scheduled planned packagings
Any scheduled planned packagings will show on the 'Planned packagings' tab. This will include planned packagings from all batch types; the planned packaging details can be checked by simply hovering over the planned packaging in the schedule. If the scheduled date needs to be changed, then you will be able to do this by simply selecting the planned packaging and dragging it on the schedule. You can edit the planned packaging by clicking on the planned packaging.

By having a Planned start date selected for a planned Contract brewed by 3rd party batch, as well as planned packaging, then this will block out the duration between the start date and the packaging on the production schedule.
