Pre-orders with planned packagings

When adding products to an order, any out-of-stock products will display in red as having '0 Available'.

If you do not have a planned packaging, and you have the Prevent over-selling of stock setting turned on in Settings-> Order/invoice settings, then Breww will prevent you from raising an order for the product. However, if you have a planned package (please see: Planned packaging in Breww), you can raise an order for this product, provided the order's scheduled delivery date is after the date of the planned package. In the example below, my planned package is for 10 kegs on 19/12/2023, with the scheduled delivery for 20/12/2023.

You will also need the Available stock to check planned packagings & delayed release stock checkbox selected in Settings->Product settings->General product settings.

This means Breww sees this order as being possible, as you plan to have stock by the date of delivery, and you will be able to add the product to the order. When you add the product, it will display the stock figure, with the inclusion of the planned package. The figure presented here will depend on what is set in yourOrder/invoice settings. Here, there is an option for Which stock figure would you like displayed for a product when adding it to an order? You can choose from three options:

• Theoretical max available figure - This will show in blue and as being 'Available' when raising an order, as this is only looking at the 'theoretical max' stock figure.
• Theoretical max Available figure and the Available stock figure - This will show in red, with a bracketed 'max' figure.
• Available figure - If you have chosen to use only the Available figure here, it will still show as '0 Available', as these are yet to be racked, and therefore the available stock figure is 0.
