Personal user account settings

Everyone who uses Breww has their own personal user account, and that account has its own settings. These are separate from your brewery's settings: changing them only affects you, and nobody else in your team will see any difference.

Where to find your personal settings

There are two places to find them:

  • Go to Settings and click Personal user account settings to open the dropdown of options.
  • Click your profile picture (or initials) in the top-right of any page and choose Profile. The Manage your profile panel has a button for each option.

Edit name & profile settings

This opens a small form with the following options:

  • First name and Last name - your name as it appears throughout Breww, for example on tasks assigned to you and in activity logs. Breww tidies up the capitalisation for you when you save.
  • User interface language - the language Breww's screens are shown in. By default your account uses the language chosen for the business as a whole (in SettingsBusiness & account settingsAddress, language, timezone & formatting), so you only need to set this if you'd like to use Breww in a different language to your colleagues. See Language & translations for more.
  • User background colour - Breww picks a random colour for you when your account is created, and uses it around Breww so people can be told apart at a glance (for example, behind your initials where there's no profile picture). You can pick a different colour here if you'd prefer.

Note: Your profile picture isn't set in Breww. Breww uses Gravatar, so if you'd like a photo instead of your initials, set up a Gravatar account using the same email address as your Breww account. If you don't have one, Breww shows your initials on your chosen background colour.

Manage password

Enter your current password, then your new password twice. Passwords must be at least 8 characters, and Breww will reject passwords that are too similar to your own details, that are entirely numeric, or that appear on lists of very commonly used passwords.

If you only ever sign in using a partner login (see below) and have never set a password, Breww will ask you to set one here rather than change one.

Manage email addresses

This page manages the email addresses attached to your own personal user account. One address is your primary address, which is the one you log in with and the one Breww emails you at. You can add extra secondary addresses, which give you another way to get back into your account if you forget your password and can't get at your primary inbox.

Select an address in the table, then use the buttons below it to:

  • Make primary - switch which address is the main one for your account.
  • Re-send verification email - if an address is still showing as Unverified, this sends the confirmation email again.
  • Remove - detach an address from your account.

Warning: This is not how to give a colleague access to Breww. Adding an email address here only adds it to your own login. To give someone else their own account, see Inviting your team.

You'll need at least one verified email address before you can set up two-factor authentication.

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) asks for a one-time code from an authenticator app each time you log in, on top of your password. Depending on whether you already have it switched on, this option reads Set up two-factor authentication or Manage two-factor authentication.

See Setting up two-factor authentication (2FA) for the full walkthrough, including backup codes and how a brewery admin can require it for everyone.

Manage passkeys

Passkeys let you sign in using your device instead of typing a password, for example with your fingerprint, your face, your device PIN, or a physical security key.

The page lists any passkeys already on your account, showing when each one was created and when it was last used, with a button to remove any you no longer want. To add one, click Add passkey and follow the prompts from your browser or device. You can add more than one, which is worth doing if you use Breww on several devices.

Manage partner logins

Partner logins (also called social logins) let you sign in to Breww using an account you already have with another service. The page lists any accounts you've already connected, with a Remove button, and below that a button for each service you can connect.

Connecting a partner login is an addition to how you currently sign in, not a replacement, so your password and any other login methods keep working.

Manage addresses

Here you can save personal addresses against your own user account, such as your home address or a hotel you often stay at. They're separate from your brewery's sites and locations, and they aren't part of your customer or delivery data.

Click Add address to add one, and use the delete button on a row to remove one.

Personal addresses are used when planning field sales visits, where they can be picked as the start or finish point of a route alongside your brewery's sites. See Planning, optimising and managing in-person sales visits routes (field sales).

Customise main menu

You can add your own shortcut links to the top and bottom of Breww's main menu, so the pages you use most are always one click away. This is per-user, so your menu is yours alone.

See Customising your main menu for the details.

¿Sigues atascado?

Cuéntanos en qué te has atascado.
