Navigating the reporting dashboard

The reporting dashboard is the home of all reporting in Breww. Open it by clicking Reporting on the main menu. Everything is on a single page, organised into expandable sections, with a search box at the top that covers every report.

Searching for a report

Start typing in the Search all reports box at the top of the page to filter every section at once. The search matches against both report names and their descriptions, and every word you type must match, so searching for sales customer will find "Total sales by customer". While a search is active, all sections are expanded automatically and any section with no matching reports is hidden. Clear the search box to return the page to normal.

Favourites

The Favourites section at the top of the dashboard gives you one-click access to the reports you use most. Favourites are personal to you, so each user at your brewery can build their own list.

To add a report to your favourites, open the report itself and click the Add to favourites button (with the star icon) at the top right of the page. Click the same button again (now Remove from favourites) to remove it. This works on pre-built reports and on your saved custom reports.

Your saved reports

The Your saved reports section lists your saved custom reports - both aggregate reports and raw data reports - grouped by the area of Breww they report on (for example, Sales, Production, or Customer activities (CRM)). You'll see the reports you have created yourself, plus any reports that colleagues have shared with all users at your brewery.

Each report shows a badge to indicate its type:

  • A purple chart badge means an aggregate report (interactive charts).
  • A pink spreadsheet badge means a raw data report.

If you've set up an automatic email delivery for a report, a green badge also shows when it will next run. See Automatically emailing reports on a schedule for more on this.

Building a new custom report

The Build a new custom report section lists all of the data sources you can report on, grouped by area. For each data source you can choose:

  • Aggregate - an interactive chart-based report with pre-defined metrics. Choose this for visual reports that you'll come back to and share.
  • Raw data - the full underlying data with your choice of columns. Choose this when you want to view the data as a table or export it to Excel.

A small number of data sources are only available as raw data reports, in which case the Aggregate button is disabled. For a full guide to building custom reports, see Reporting via the Aggregate Report Builder and Raw Data Explorer.

If someone has given you a report "share code", use the Create from share code button at the top right of the page. See How to use share codes with the raw data explorer for more information.

Pre-built reports

Below the custom reporting sections, you'll find Breww's pre-built reports organised into sections for Sales, Order prediction, Production & inventory and Deliveries, plus a country-specific section if there are reports relevant to your brewery's country (for example, the Tasmanian freight equalisation scheme report for Australian breweries).

The larger sections are further organised into sub-groups (such as "Margin & profitability" within Sales, or "Current stock" within Production & inventory) so that related reports sit together. Each report shows a short description of what it covers, and the search box at the top of the page searches these descriptions too.

Permissions

The sections shown on the dashboard depend on your user's permissions. For example, users without the sales permission won't see the sales reporting sections, and users without the production permission won't see the production & inventory reports. Users with the full reporting permission can see every section. If you're missing a section you need, please ask an account admin to review your permissions.
