CRM activity types
When logging customer activity in Breww, such as customer calls, you can choose from Breww's default activity types. However, it is also possible to create your own, allowing you to log your customer activity accurately.
System activity types
Breww provides five activity types that every account has. They're listed at the bottom of the activity types page, and can't be edited or deleted:
- Call
- Meeting
- Note
- Training
How to create your own activity types
To create your own CRM activity type, head to Customers -> Settings & tools -> CRM activity types -> Add activity type. You can also reach the page from Settings -> Customer, lead & CRM settings -> CRM activity types.
Give the type a name and choose whether it should be shown in CRM reporting.
Name
Names must be unique within your brewery, and can't clash with one of the system types above.
If you delete an activity type and later add a new one with the same name, Breww restores the original type rather than creating a duplicate, so the activity you've already logged against it stays intact.
Show in CRM reporting
When enabled, the activity type gets its own column in CRM reporting, so you can see how many of that activity your team logged each month.
It also decides which activity types you can set a target against in Leads -> Settings & tools -> Monthly CRM activity targets. Types that aren't shown in CRM reporting can still be logged against customers and leads, they just won't be counted or targeted there.
The activity types list shows which of your types, and which of the system types, are currently included.
Choosing a default activity type
To save a click on whichever activity you log most often, you can pre-select one in the activity logging form. Go to Settings -> Customer, lead & CRM settings -> Tags & general customer settings (or Customers -> Settings & tools -> Settings & tags) and set Default CRM activity type. Both your own types and Breww's system types can be chosen.
Deleting an activity type
The bin icon on the activity types list deletes one of your own types. Activity already logged against it is kept, and as noted above, re-adding a type with the same name brings the original back.
