October brought something breweries have been asking for: a proper way to connect AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT to Breww.

Alongside that, breweries in Australia and New Zealand can now connect Breww to MYOB, there's a new report showing exactly what your cost of goods sold is made of, and contract brews and off-site packaging finally have a home of their own.

Oh, and we made a game.

Here's what's new\...

## Ask your AI assistant about your brewery

Which customers haven't ordered in the last 60 days? What stock is due to expire this month? Which vessel is each batch in, and what was its last reading?

Those answers are all in Breww. Now you can get them by simply asking.

The new Breww MCP lets brewery admins connect an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT to their Breww account. Once connected, you can ask questions about your brewery in plain language and, if you choose, have the assistant create and update records for you, like drafting an order for a customer or recording a gravity reading against a batch.

You decide whether each connection is **Read only** or **Read and write**, so you can start by just asking questions and allow changes later. And you can disconnect an assistant at any time.

Connected assistants can also now use the Raw Data Explorer. That means asking for totals, counts and grouped results in one step, running your shared saved reports, and exporting up to 1,000,000 rows, all with read-only access. If you're using AI to build reports from your Breww data, it's a big step forward for both what you can access and how quickly you get it.

It's worth knowing what you're agreeing to before you connect. Anything the assistant looks up is sent to the company that provides it, assistants can get things wrong, and read and write access changes real data. We've set all of that out in the announcement, so give it a read before you connect.

## Connect Breww to MYOB

For breweries in Australia and New Zealand, keeping the books in step with what's happening in the brewery just got a lot easier.

Breww now integrates with MYOB Business and AccountRight. Invoices and credit notes are posted to MYOB as you raise them, with each line going to the right account. Payments sync both ways, so a payment recorded in Breww lands against its invoice in MYOB, and one recorded in MYOB comes back into Breww.

Credit note allocations, refunds and finalised supplier invoices all make their way across too, and your MYOB jobs can be used as tracking categories in Breww so sales land against the right job.

Balance sheet syncing keeps your stock, WIP, finished goods and cost of goods sold accounts up to date as costs move from purchase to production to sale. It works around your MYOB lock date, so locked periods stay untouched.

## See what your cost of goods sold is made of

Knowing your cost of goods sold is useful. Knowing what's actually driving it is where the real decisions get made.

The new COGS by stock item and utility/other cost report breaks your cost of goods sold down into the ingredients, packaging and other costs, such as electricity or wages, behind what you sold. Each line shows its share of your cost of goods sold and of your revenue.

You can group it by stock item type, sub-type or individual stock item, look across all your sales or product by product, and narrow it down to one product, drink type or type of stock item.

It also ties in with the Margin by product report we launched in August. The summary at the top matches Margin by product for the same period, and each product on Margin by product now has a button that opens this report for just that product.

## Keep track of contract brews and off-site packaging

When some of your beer is brewed or packaged somewhere else, it's easy for it to slip out of view. Which batches are out, and how much is still to come back?

Breww now gives you two dedicated lists: one for every batch brewed for you by a third party, and one for every batch out with a third-party packager. Both can be searched, filtered and exported.

The off-site packaging list also shows how much is still outstanding, and you can receive products straight from it when they come back.

## Make sure every invoice has somewhere to go

The order's been picked, packed and delivered. Then you find out the invoice never went out, because nobody had an email address to send it to.

Breww can now check that a customer has an invoice email address before an order goes ahead, so you catch the gap while the order is being placed rather than after it's delivered.

You choose how strict Breww should be. Leave the check switched off, let draft orders go ahead but block confirming them until there's an address, or block new orders for that customer altogether.

Only customers Breww would automatically email an invoice to are checked, and free sample and stock transfer orders are never blocked.

## Bring your kegs home (just for fun)

Kegs that went to a festival and never came back. Bars that swear they returned them. Every brewery has a keg story.

So we turned the great keg hunt into a free game.

Get behind the wheel of the brewery truck, head around town recovering missing kegs, dodge the police and outrun rivals, and get back to the brewery before the beer goes to waste.

It's not just about your own high score, either. Each brewery's ranking is the combined score of its top five players, so get the team involved and see where you land against breweries around the world.

## You ask. We ship.

Plenty of this month's updates started life as ideas from breweries using Breww day to day, from the MCP itself to a proper breakdown of cost of goods sold and a check for missing invoice emails.

Got an idea of your own? Share it in the Breww Community, or see everything we've been shipping month by month on our Product updates page.
